In my kitchen the cupboards are very high and difficult to get into. So the first thing I’ve made my own spice rack and put it where they are easy to get to. And here it is:

It was very easy to make. I found an instructable with the idea I based mine on. Basically, get the tins from specialtybottle.com. You will also need 1/4″ rare earth magnets and some superglue. Arrange 3 magnets on the back of a tin, put a small drop of superglue on them, put another tin on top, let it dry. When it’s dry, fill with spice and label them with a label maker (I bought some pre-made labels but I wouldn’t recommend them). The magnets will hold them on a refrigerator or any metal surface (like an old cookie sheet attached to the wall or underside of a cabinet).
Note you could also buy magnetic containers and skip the making part, but the making was fun (and a LOT cheaper)!
